Maxwell Blanchard is a multi-disciplinary visual designer. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Maxwell now resides in the historic Old Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. His creative journey started at a young age and continued to develop while attending the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles, where he explored 3D character animation. In January 2022, he transitioned to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. At SAIC, he expanded his focus to encompass photography, graphic design, and various print media. His work spans these mediums individually and seeks to explore their intersections.

Maxwell draws inspiration from the vibrant world of comic books, the innovative sounds of alternative and experimental hip-hop, and the rich tapestry of skateboarding culture. His portfolio includes professional graphic design projects for alternative hip-hop albums, commissioned concert photography, and unique graphic designs for clothing. His art explores environment, place, self-perception, and connection, inspired by the illustrative forms of early comic books and animation. He is dedicated to continually refining and advancing his creative process, and someday aspires to own a screen printing shop that provides professional and educational services.
